Robert Pevy has died
by wobble inrobert pevy, who joined the editorial dept (formerly writing comm) some decades ago, and was chief writer of the infamous "revelation, its grand climax" book, has died.. apparently his grand opus was edited, because lloyd barry "did not like some of the explanations".
what i wonder is, were pevy's explanations more looney than what went in to the final draft?

The November 15, 2008, Watchtower, pages 14 and 15, paragraphs 12 and 13, states:
“Some individuals stop preaching and attending meetings because they have committed a serious
sin. They may feel that if they confess their wrongdoing to the elders, they will be disfellow-
shipped. But they will not be expelled from the congregation if they have discontinued the un-
scriptural practice and are genuinely repentant. (2 Cor. 7:10, 11)Here's a better idea.....why don't they send the elders to these inactive ones to confess the sins of the WTS!
Sounds similar to what I remember. A special effort right before Memorial to get people to come back. The special attention along with the emotion of the Memorial might do the trick for some. Elders usually just made a judgement call on who might be receptive.

How to deal with Boss contradictions.

If you need to keep your job to make it, do whatever it takes to get his approval and stay on his good side. With a down economy, many companies are making employees cuts. The easiest way to make it look legal is to lay the groundwork then say the employee has "performance issues".
Just because a person is the boss doesn't mean they know how to boss effectively.

Let's see.....keep up with ever-changing doctrine (new light), put in your weekly requirements of study, meetings & field service (do it exactly how WTS wants), obey every WTS intrusion into your personal choices concerning education, entertainment, family, work, sex life, etc. Don't question anything concerning wacky views on blood, holidays, political & social issues, etc. The few "gray areas" they do claim to give your conscience.....is governed by the conscience of nosey, loud mouths in the cong. that don't think what you are doing is right. The mirco-managing never ends.
This wacky WTS organization is unreasonable and it looks like people are leaving in droves.
